Wax Heaven isn't the first baseball card-related Blog and it won't be the last. My goal is to be the best. I am not some stuck-up, arrogant blogger who is looking for the next gig. I am a collector not much different than most of you. I am also a father and husband who sometimes has to sacrifice buying the big money releases in order to pay my ever-growing list of bills but that has not stopped me from writing as much as humanly possible (with a real job) about our beloved hobby. I have done everything from product reviews and card shop directories, to player rants and deep stat analysis.

I really have no purpose for this page. I figured hey, why not start a webpage about my life in baseball and talk about everything that goes on in it, especially autographs. I really have no clue what it will amount to but I know it will be good. I guess what I want is to interact with the fans and make them learn and laugh. Have fun and let me know what you think!

This site will mostly be a baseball autograph page, with football, hockey, golf, basketball, boxing, Olympic, coaching & racing successes. I have not always kept an accurate log of the length of time it took to receive these autographs. However, any new additions will include the turnaround time. Also, note that the players are listed with the club that they were with at the time the autograph was signed. I want to add that your results may vary and of course I can`t promise that any player I list will sign. My intent is to update anytime a new success comes in . My goal is to provide information to other collectors about those players that are willing to sign. This site is informational in nature and I don`t SELL or TRADE my cards. ** Each success that I list will be a trading card unless I note otherwise, for example if the player provides a card or photo of their own I will list that info. *** Also, the successes I list will have come from the team address unless I post otherwise.

Welcome to the Sports Celebrity TTM and In Person autograph site of the father and son team of Frank and Alex Hipolito! While trying to determine a way of tracking our ttm autograph success stories, we ended up designing this site as a resource for collecting autographs through the mail for collectors making requests to both active players during Spring Training 2007 in Florida or Arizona, or their respective teams during the regular season, or sending requests to retired players addresses, as well as providing a heads up on upcoming sports autograph signings in the New York City Area.

As for the basic stuff I am happily married and the father of two daughters. I work full time in the automotive industry. My hobbies revolve around two key elements, sports and the internet. Baseball is my favorite sport. I collect sports cards and play fantasy sports online. Since I got involved in the blogging world it takes up most of my internet time. My favorite sport is Baseball and it makes up the bulk of my sports card collection. I am building an entire run of the Topps All Star Rookies among a few other themes. My current favorite players are Roger Clemens, Brett Favre and Ivan (Pudge) Rodriguez. Some of my all time favorites are Carl Yastrzemski, Thurman Munson, Ron Guidry, Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripken Jr., Graig Nettles,Bob Lilly, Earl Campbell, Drew Pearson and John Elway just to name a few. My favorite baseball card set is the 1976 Topps issue.I intend to post several times a week as my warped mind moves me. Come back again.

Growing up, I collected baseball cards. And for whatever reason I ended up with many, many 1983 Fleer cards. Now I'm writing to baseball players asking to autograph their card. Most players will do it for free. Some charge money for their signature. A few, like Bert Blyleven and Jim Kaat, donate their proceeds to charity -- definitely worthy causes. Then there are some that have passed away like Dan Quisenberry, Tug McGraw, Ken Brett, Darrell Porter, Eric Show, Bo Diaz, Luis Sanchez, and most recently Steve Howe. It's a fun project and something to look forward to in the mailbox besides bills and junk mail. I'm not a dealer, nor would I have any interest in selling any of these cards. Perhaps I'll hand them down to my son some day. But the project continues. Come back and visit and see how it is progressing!
