Sold as a boxed set, these cards are the standard 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" format but feature rounded corners. Each card features a color player photo with the upper-left and lower-right corners inset to provide for playing card designations. A team logo appears in the lower-left corner. On American League players' cards (Clubs and Spades) the player's name and position appear in white in a blue box beneath the photo. On National Leaguers' cards (Hearts and Diamonds) the box is red and the printing black. Card backs are identical with blue borders and a multi-colored "1990 Baseball Major League All-Stars" logo on a pinstriped white centered panel. A premium version with the cards' edges silvered was also issued. These cards have a small diagonal "nip" at each rounded corner. - 2006 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, 15th Edition.
